What is Caerphilly Keys?

Caerphilly Keys is a project led by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Housing Solutions team which helps private landlords find long term tenants for their properties, whilst also preventing homelessness.

Caerphilly Keys was a pioneering private rented solution that was launched in August 2018 and has been successful in creating a  pathway into the Private Rented Sector for individuals facing homelessness.

As a result of the launch of the Welsh Government Leasing  model, Caerphilly Keys now has the ability to offer landlords long term lease agreements which include financial incentives, full management and maintenance for the duration of the lease agreement and guaranteed rent. This will create long term safe, sustainable and affordable private rented properties for individuals facing homelessness.
